SECURITY BIKE PATROL OFFICER - TALKING STICK RESORT
Job Title: Security Bike Patrol Officer (varied shifts)
Department: Security
Reports To: Assistant Security Shift Supervisor
Summary: Protects the assets of the company and provides a safe environment for employees and guests while maintaining a security presence in the exterior and parking facilities of Casino Arizona. This is a Safety Sensitive Position that will be subject to Drug & Alcohol Testing.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Enforces company security regulations.
- Responsible for maintaining patrol bike.
- Guards transfer of money, chips and tokens from and to various locations in the casino.
- Performs all security related duties for the casino.
- Ensures all casino policies and regulations are followed at all times and is constantly alert, identifying safety hazards and violations of the State Gaming Compact and Tribal Gaming Ordinance.
- Must be familiar with and in compliance with the State Gaming Compact, Tribal Gaming Ordinance, departmental policies, human resources policies, casino policies and applicable state and federal laws.
- Writes reports in an accurate and complete manner and submits them as per department policy.
- Protects the patrons, employees and assets of Casino Arizona.
- Follows chain of command on all matters.
- Properly mans assigned posts.
- Interviews, investigates and documents all applicable incidents, in accordance with company policies.
- Administers first aid and CPR as needed.
- Performs constant visual patrol of the exterior property areas being especially watchful for prowlers, trespassers or anyone committing acts of burglary, vandalism, parking infractions or blocking of designated fire lanes.
- Conducts periodic inspections of exterior property area including frequent checks of all emergency exits.
- Reports any and all hazardous conditions, safety or maintenance issues observed.
- Provides depositions/statements and testifies in court, as well as other legal or civil proceedings, to present evidence or act as a witness to unlawful events or activity on behalf of Casino Arizona and Talking Stick Resort.
- Responsible for the enforcement of all applicable regulations, under the code of Federal Regulations, Title 31, Chapter X, as it pertains to this position. This includes, but is not limited to, observing and reporting suspicious activity, of either customers or employees, as defined in the Code of Federal Regulations.
- Responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all applicable regulations under the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 31, Chapter X, by attending Title 31/Anti-Money Laundering training, provided by Casino Arizona, at least once a year or more if required by management and outlined in the Title 31 Minimum Internal Controls.
Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; previous hospitality security and/or casino security experience and/or related training preferred. Must be a skilled rider of a standard two‑wheel bicycle in order to be successfully trained on a law‑enforcement‑type or other designated tactical two‑wheel bicycle.
Must possess strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills. Must be a team player; yet be able to work independently when required. Must be able to see and remember specific details of incidents and persons involved. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. Any candidate selected for this position will be required to take a medical evaluation intended to identify health conditions that might prevent a candidate from performing tasks as specified in the job description.
