Site Manager – Commercial & Industrial Construction

Our client are a well-established national construction contractor delivering high-quality commercial and industrial buildings across the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join their delivery team in the North East.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale, technically challenging projects for blue-chip clients, within a professional and supportive business.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing site activities from start to completion

Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards

Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour

Maintaining programme targets and reporting progress to the Project Manager

Ensuring quality control and adherence to specifications and drawings

Managing site logistics, materials, and plant

Conducting site meetings and maintaining accurate site records

Promoting a positive site culture and maintaining strong client relationships

About You

Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial and/or industrial construction projects

Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and health & safety legislation

Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple trades and priorities effectively

IT literate with experience using construction management systems

SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certifications (essential)

Willingness to work on projects nationwide as required
