AboutThe Role
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a specialist team supporting students with complex educational needs, including social, emotional and mental health challenges, communication difficulties, and trauma‑related behaviours. As part of a nurturing and innovative team, your responsibilities will include:
- Teaching and supporting students with a range of special educational needs (SEN).
- Delivering engaging English lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Setting, marking and providing constructive feedback on assignments, homework and assessments.
- Supporting pupils in gaining a strong command of spoken and written English, enabling them to communicate confidently and effectively.
- Passionate about working with students with SEND.
- Experienced – ideally with at least 2 years in a SEND environment or similar provision.
- Qualified – QTS/QTLS is essential.

This co‑educational provision supports pupils aged 11–19 and offers a highly personalised education programme. The school is designed for students who have not thrived in mainstream settings and require a more therapeutic approach to learning. Many pupils have experienced trauma or have complex emotional and social difficulties.
