Salary: £140 - £190 per day (in line with experience and pay scale)

GSL Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Scunthorpe on a full-time basis

This role offers the exciting opportunity to secure a permanent contract with the school for the right candidate.

As an English Teacher in an SEMH setting, you’ll play a key role in inspiring a love of learning while supporting students with a range of social, emotional, and behavioural needs. Your lessons will not only develop core literacy skills but also help pupils build confidence and resilience
.

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to individual learning needs
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, using de-escalation strategies where needed
• Support students’ social and emotional development alongside academic progress
• Work closely with a strong pastoral and SEN support team

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching English at KS3/KS4 level
• Understanding of SEMH needs and behaviour management techniques
• Patience, resilience, and the ability to engage challenging learners
