SEN Teacher – Scunthorpe

Full-time / Long-term / Temp-to-perm (depending on placement).
GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to work in a supportive specialist or mainstream school setting in Scunthorpe. This is a rewarding opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
You will be responsible for delivering tailored learning experiences, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties, and helping them achieve their full potential in a safe and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEN
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
- Work closely with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Track pupil progress and maintain accurate records
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Promote independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) –
essential - Proven experience working with children with SEN –
essential - Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
