Melior Community Academy are looking to appoint an Inclusion Co-ordinator and DDSL to join our academy in September 2026 on a full time, permanent basis.

Your new role
  • Promote a learning environment which supports high expectations.
  • Lead the Inclusion team, ensuring that student learning and achievement needs are met and contributing to the effectiveness of the team.
  • Model the vision and values of the academy and the Trust, receive and act on feedback to build on strengths and improve personal performance.
  • Communicate clear purpose and vision to the Inclusion team, leading on all aspects of inclusion.
  • Always promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people.
  • Support the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in the academy in your role as Deputy DSL.
Your new school

Melior Community Academy is a coeducational secondary school located in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. The Academy opened in January 2013 for students aged 11 to 16. We are a fully inclusive Academy with a distinctively warm ethos and continue to have the highest aspirations for, and expectations of, our students. The school has recently been rebuilt and facilities are excellent, located within easy commuting distance of the main urban areas this is a great place to work.

We are looking to recruit well qualified and talented staff who will complement and add to a dynamic team and who have all the right attributes to make a valid contribution to the wider life of the school and ensure that students are making the right progress.

Holiday Entitlement: minimum 37 days (subject to pro rata if working part‑time and dependent upon salary and continuous service) including statutory Bank Holidays.
