Construction Tutor

At Skills Centre Plus, we're looking for a passionate Construction Skills Tutor to inspire young people with SEND to develop practical trade skills, confidence and independence. Through practical projects and real-life applications, you'll bring construction to life, creating a learning environment where every learner can succeed Working with learners aged 16-25 in small groups and 1:1 settings, you'll deliver engaging, hands‑on construction training that prepares learners for employment and helps them achieve their individual goals.

You'll use your industry experience to bring learning to life through practical projects, real‑world applications and innovative teaching approaches tailored to a range of learning needs, including SEMH, ASD and ADHD This is more than a teaching role. It's an opportunity to make a genuine difference to young people's lives, helping them gain skills, overcome barriers and realise their potential.

• Delivering high quality teaching on a range of programmes.
• Ensuring effective delivery of targets in relation to achievement, success, quality, and attendance.
• Following Quality Assurance (QA) systems in conjunction with awarding organisation criteria.
• Assisting in raisingteaching and learning standards across the curriculum.
• Supportin creating a vibrant, high quality, positive and student-centredethos.
• Demonstrate high levelsof positivity withinthe staffteam.
• Marketing and selling the curriculum positively.
• Positively enhancing progression opportunities for all learners.
• Supporting the organisation in the process of collating/analysing data and report writing for self-assessment.
• Ensuring a proactive approach to the development and marketing of courses to achieve maximum recruitment levels.
• Effectively engaging with employers and key stakeholders to enhance curriculum delivery.
