Reception Manager

Reception Manager Twickenham, Southwest London Part-time (25.5 hours per week, Term-time only) Join a vibrant educational environment in Twickenham, Southwest London where you will develop positive relationships with children and provide professional front-of-house services. This role is crucial in fostering a safe and nurturing environment for both students and staff. Day-to-day of the role:
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with children to foster their skills and interests. Welcome visitors and ensure compliance with the school’s safeguarding and safety procedures. Manage front desk operations, including answering phone calls and emails promptly and professionally. Maintain accurate school registers and fire register files in compliance with statutory regulations. Provide primary first aid cover, manage health-related records, and liaise with parents and emergency services as needed.

Work with the caretaking team and Bursar to ensure a safe environment and compliance with health and safety policies. Manage and administer the school’s parental communications system and compile the school calendar. Take minutes at Health & Safety meetings and contribute to the school’s development plan. Qualifications:

Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent in English and Mathematics. Experience managing a busy reception, ideally within a school or educational setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work proactively without day-to-day supervision. A good understanding of child safeguarding procedures; current First Aid qualification or willingness to undertake training. Competency in Microsoft Office products. Ability to act as a role model and maintain professional boundaries with children.
