A fantastic opportunity has opened for an experienced Railway Electrical Supervisor to join our growing Field and Engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on environment, enjoys working across multiple sites, and takes pride in delivering high‑quality electrical installations within the rail sector.
You’ll play a key part in supporting nationwide rail projects, ensuring that electrical works relating to telecoms and radio systems are installed, tested, and commissioned according to design, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of power supplies for telecoms, radio, and associated rail assets.
- Conduct site surveys to assess project requirements, risks, and material needs.
- Verify material orders and ensure all equipment is available, compliant, and ready for installation.
- Maintain accurate site documentation, progress reports, and quality records.
- Ensure all works are delivered safely and in line with rail industry standards and company procedures.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and client representatives to support smooth project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members where required.
- Background in electrical installation or supervision within the rail industry
- Strong understanding of power systems, telecoms, or radio infrastructure.
- Confident supervising teams and coordinating works across multiple sites.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
- Relevant electrical, supervisory and rail qualifications - PTS is essential
- Salary up to £60,000 depending on experience and skill level.
- Paid overtime for additional hours worked.
