About The Role

We are looking to recruit a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team based at our manufacturing facility in Scunthorpe. The candidate will work a combination of mornings and afternoons on a rotating shift pattern. The salary for this position is £38,000 plus Shift Allowance.

Main Responsibilities
  • To carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Providing rapid response to breakdown’s when required
  • Fault finding, trouble shooting and maintaining, repairing conveyor systems, equipment and plant using all engineering disciplines to ensure minimum lost production time
  • To follow up any faults picked up on PPM’s.
  • Ensure engineering standards are maintained to maximize the operation effectiveness and reliability of the factory and associated systems.
  • To assist specialist subcontractor’s requirements both for PPM and reactive works.
  • To ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
  • Ensure Company & Site, Health & Safety procedures are always followed.
  • Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
  • To proactively work towards the continued success and support of the business with a can‑do attitude.
  • Complete any other associated task requested by the management.
  • Ensure that workstations are kept tidy and well maintained.

In addition to any other duties, as a responsible person you must ensure that you have read, understood and adhere to policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety, and your responsibilities located in the Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities document.
