CAD Engineer

Consortium Professional Recruitment are pleased to be supporting our client in the search for a Design Engineer. This role offers the chance to be involved in a variety of product development tasks in a design‑led setting, where your contributions will be visible and valued.

You’ll be working as part of a small, experienced team, using Solid Works and in‑house 3D printing tools to develop new product concepts and solutions. This is a practical role suited to someone who enjoys seeing designs progress from early ideas to working prototypes.

• Creating 3D CAD models using Solid Works with a focus on usability and manufacturability
• Collaborating with customers to understand their requirements and deliver tailored product solutions
• Using 3D printing to support early‑stage concept development and testing
• Preparing technical drawings, specification sheets and documentation for manufacturing
• Contributing to improvements in the design and engineering process

• Experience using Solid Works in a product design or engineering environment
• Strong 3D CAD skills with attention to both design and detail
• Confidence preparing technical documentation such as BOMs and specification sheets
• A practical approach and the ability to work on hands‑on design tasks
• Good communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively with others

• £30,000 to £40,000 salary
