Based across the UK on our projects you will work on our Large Infrastructure within our Power Transmission and Distribution Projects.
This position is based in Scunthorpe.

As a Site Engineer, you will have the following accountabilities:
- Deliver site survey works including control, topographic surveys, setting out and construction-stage checks, ensuring survey data and outputs are accurate, complete, version-controlled and suitable for construction purposes
- Undertake verification surveys, survey QA/QC checks and completion of quality documentation to confirm constructed works meet design intent, required tolerances, ITPs and hold points
- Produce as-built records, drawings, and models, ensuring outputs are complete, accurate, and aligned with project requirements
- Review and check design information prior to construction, ensuring suitability, identifying discrepancies, and raising issues where required
- Liaise with site engineers and project teams to ensure the effective flow of survey information and support resolution of technical and dimensional queries
- Ensure survey activities are carried out in accordance with safe systems of work, identifying hazards and supporting a strong safety culture
- Maintain survey consumables and equipment, ensuring availability and readiness to meet project requirements
- Experience working in a similar role ideally with expertise of working on National Grid projects
- Previous experience in surveying, with strong exposure to civil engineering and/or mechanical engineering environments.
- Experience in managing risks and change processes
- Proficient in using a range of survey equipment including GNSS, Total Stations and digital level
- Effective communication, coordination, and team-building skills
- Demonstrated ability to plan work, meet deadlines, and deliver outputs to programme
- Strong commitment to Health & Safety and safe working practices
- Good understanding of the standard forms of contracts
- Strong working knowledge of relevant software:
AutoCAD or Civil 3D - Experience working for a Tier 1 contractor previously
