I’m supporting a growing organisation in the wholesale sector that is looking to hire a talented Finance Analyst to join their expanding finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping financial planning, performance reporting, and supporting strategic decision‑making across the business.
The role is based in Scunthorpe
, with hybrid working available.
As a Finance Analyst, you’ll support senior stakeholders with clear, insightful financial analysis—helping influence decisions, highlight risks and opportunities, and drive continuous improvement. You’ll take ownership of financial models, planning cycles, and monthly performance reporting while working collaboratively across multiple business areas.

Key Responsibilities- Build financial plans using proven modelling techniques
- Develop assumptions for budgets, forecasts, and long‑term strategic plans
- Consolidate reporting inputs and provide clear performance narratives
- Own monthly performance reporting for your business area
- Analyse financial results and explain key variances across P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Provide regular reconciliations and variance analysis for business partners
- Build strong cross‑functional stakeholder relationships
- Support ongoing improvements to forecasting and reporting processes
- Champion the use of financial planning and reporting tools
- A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience working across budgets, forecasts, P&Ls, balance sheets, and cash flow
- Strong Excel and IT skills (VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas, planning tools)
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
- Confidence presenting data and insights to both financial and non‑financial stakeholders
- A proactive, continuous‑improvement mindset
- Salary: £45,000–£50,000
