This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to step into a high-impact, business-facing position, where you will play a key role in shaping financial insight, influencing strategic decisions, and supporting the continued growth of a diverse group of trading entities.The

Opportunity Reporting to a senior finance leader, you will act as the finance lead across multiple operational businesses, providing robust financial reporting, insightful analysis, and trusted commercial guidance. This is far more than a traditional reporting role-you'll be:

• Partnering with operational teams to drive profitability and performance
• Providing clear, actionable financial insight to support decision-making
• Playing a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
• Supporting commercial bids, pricing, and contract performance
• Leading on process improvements and system enhancements
• You'll be embedded within the business, building strong relationships and ensuring finance is seen as a true value-adding partner.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including insightful commentary and variance analysis
• Partner with operational stakeholders to understand performance drivers and improve outcomes
• Support strategic planning, including budgets, forecasts, and 5-year plans
• Provide financial input into tenders, pricing models, and new business opportunities
• Monitor contract performance, including profitability and work-in-progress
• Develop and enhance financial processes, systems, and reporting
• Produce cash flow forecasts and monitor financial health across the business
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and commercial awareness

About You We're looking for a proactive and commercially aware finance professional who is confident working closely with non-finance stakeholders.

• A qualified accountant, later stages PQ or strong qualified by experience
• Experienced in management accounting and financial analysis
• Confident communicating financial information to a non-finance audience
• Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
• Highly proficient in Excel and finance systems
