Accounts Payable Clerk – Flixborough – Up to £30,000 (Full/Part Time)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable professional to join the Finance team of a well-established organisation operating within a fast-paced, international environment.
Join an established international organisation, becoming part of a collaborative and fast-paced finance team. You’ll play a key role within Accounts Payable, ensuring supplier transactions and payments are processed accurately and efficiently while gaining valuable hands-on finance experience. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous accounts experience or an individual looking to develop their career in finance, with a strong eye for detail, good IT skills and a willingness to learn.

- Posting and processing journal entries to ensure transactions are accurately recorded.
- Completing supplier and bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
- Processing supplier payments for both UK and overseas vendors, ensuring payments are accurate and made in accordance with agreed terms.
- Preparing, checking, verifying and posting payment documentation.
- Supporting compliance with VAT regulations and internal financial controls.
- Liaising with colleagues across the business as well as external parties, including banks, suppliers and auditors.
- Supporting audit requirements and ensuring financial processes comply with relevant policies and regulations.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and providing up-to-date information on transactions and payment status.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Good general IT skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems and software.
- An organised and methodical approach to your workload.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
