Practitioners will work in both educational and health settings within North Lincolnshire to support the implementation of the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) model and complement the early intervention offer within local areas.

Essential

• Relevant health/social care Degree or equivalent body (e.g., RMN, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Clinical Psychologist, Psychotherapist) with professional registration.

Desirable

• Specialist Qualification in CBT, FT or other appropriate therapy Degree or equivalent.
• Qualification or formal training in Supervision.

Essential

• Post‑qualification experience working with young people with mild to moderate mental health problems and with children and families.
• Experience managing and prioritising a high caseload.
• Experience of Multi‑Disciplinary Working.
• Advanced level of practice with a degree of professional autonomy.
• Patient‑centred assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation with children, young people, parents and families using mental health nursing skills.
• Skill in undertaking Risk Assessments and developing appropriate plans in partnership with the young person, families and other agencies.
• Experience providing supervision to junior staff.

Desirable

• Planning and delivering presentations and training to groups.
• Experience delivering comprehensive family work in a child and family setting.

Essential

• Theoretical and practical knowledge in child and adolescent mental health and awareness of key drivers in the field.
• Competence in making decisions regarding ongoing patient care, including wider NHS and social care policy, public relations, research, audit and quality improvement methodologies, risk‑based care.
• High level of problem‑solving and planning skills; effective communication with all disciplines and agencies to optimise patient management.
• Awareness of own competency level and how to seek appropriate help.
• Understanding of confidentiality and risk management.
• Clinical audit, research and clinical governance principles.
• Understanding of child protection/safeguarding policies, recording and reporting concerns to the appropriate agency and participating in case conferences as required.
