Information Governance Officer

The Vacancy

The North Lincolnshire Council Information Governance Team are looking to recruit an Information Governance Officer on a temporary / fixed term basis for up to 18 months. You will provide additional support to the Information Governance Team and strengthen the organisation's approach to managing information. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with data protection legislation, including handling of data protection requests for information, redaction of information that needs to be protected and keeping up to date with developments in AI.

• Provide support to the Information Governance Team to strengthen the organisation's approach to information management.
• Ensure compliance with data protection legislation and related requirements.
• Handle data protection information requests in a timely and accurate manner.
• Redact information that needs to be protected in line with applicable laws and policies.
• Monitor developments in AI and related data protection implications to inform practice.

• Interest in learning about legislation and data protection principles.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to work with technology to support information governance tasks.
