Job Description

Blue Arrow is recruiting Part‑Time Cleaners to work at a college based in Scunthorpe.

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors in classrooms, offices, corridors and staircases.
• Dust and clean furniture, fixtures and fittings.
• Empty litter bins and replace refuse sacks.
• Periodic deep cleaning of walls, paintwork, skirting boards, radiators and windows.
• Clean toilets, sinks, washbasins and sanitary areas daily.
• Replenish toilet rolls, paper towels and soap dispensers.
• Ensure compliance with colour‑coded cleaning equipment to prevent cross‑contamination.
• Use buffing machines, carpet shampooers and polishing equipment when required.
• Assist with spring cleaning, conference preparation and student room checklists.
• Work within college health and safety policies.
• Report hazards or maintenance issues to supervisors.
• Follow prescribed cleaning schedules and methods.
• Work under the Cleaning Supervisor or Domestic Services Manager.
• Maintain records of completed cleaning tasks (e.g., checklists).

3:30 pm – 7 pm, Monday to Friday.

£12.21 per hour.

Candidates will not need a DBS check as the college will be closed at these times.
