Location: Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire (DN15)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Working hours: 8 hour shifts / 3-shift rotations, between 06:00 and 14:00 (Mon–Sat), 14:00 and 22:00 (Mon–Fri) and 22:00 and 06:00 (Mon–Fri) – (Average 42.66 hours per week). Overtime paid at 1.5x Weekdays & Saturdays and 2x Sundays and Bank Holidays. Plus, free drinks (3 per shift) and paid breaks.

Job Overview

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Manufacturing Trainer / Corrugator Machine Training Officer to join a busy and growing manufacturing operation. This role plays a key part in developing operator capability on a state-of-the-art sheet-feeding corrugator system.

As a Manufacturing Trainer / Corrugator Machine Training Officer you will be responsible for delivering structured, practical training to operatives, ensuring safe working practices, machine efficiency, and consistent product quality across all shifts.

The Manufacturing Trainer / Corrugator Machine Training Officer will work closely with production and shift management, occasionally supporting shift coverage, while maintaining high standards of health and safety, performance, and continuous improvement.

Duties
  • Delivering Operator Training: Providing hands-on and classroom-based training on corrugator operation
  • Supporting Safe Working Practices: Promoting health and safety standards and safe systems of work
  • Developing Training Materials: Creating and maintaining training guides and operating procedures
  • Monitoring Competency Levels: Assessing operator skills and identifying further development needs
  • Supporting Shift Operations: Stepping into shift cover when required to support production continuity
  • Driving Continuous Improvement: Sharing best practice to improve efficiency, quality, and output
  • Maintaining Machine Standards: Ensuring correct setup, operation, and care of corrugator equipment
Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Corrugator

    Experience:

    Proven experience working with corrugator machinery in a manufacturing environment
  • Training Capability: Ability to coach, mentor, and train production operatives effectively
  • Health and Safety Focus: Strong awareness of safe working practices and attention to detail
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Clear, confident communication with individuals and teams
  • Flexible Approach: Willingness to support rotating shift patterns when required

Desirable

  • Leadership Exposure: Experience supporting or covering supervisory or shift management duties
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Interest in improving processes, quality, and performance
