Shift Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic and successful manufacturing company, based at the Flixborough Industrial Estate. We are looking for an experienced Shift Manager to play a key role in delivering high-quality, eco-friendly products while driving efficiency and continuous improvement across production operations.

Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of recyclable pulp packaging products with multiple sites across the UK, France, and Germany. As an industry innovator, they are committed to preserving food and the planet by offering sustainable solutions and embracing a virtuous recycling loop.

• Ensure production lines and processes operate efficiently and effectively
• Collaborate with supervisors, quality teams, health and safety, engineering, and logistics to achieve production goals
• Manage a shift/team to meet the production plan without compromising safety, quality, or efficiency
• Allocate resources effectively to meet customer requirements within expected timelines
• Anticipate future demands and drive team readiness for new challenges
• Strive for continuous improvement and operational excellence
• Complete key people processes, including performance reviews, investigations, and disciplinaries
• Manage team workload and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
• Analyze production data for insights and improvements

• At least 3 years of experience in a management role
• Minimum 3 years working within a manufacturing environment
• Desire to progress and grow with a rapidly expanding business
• Decisive with excellent problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels
• Proven leadership and influencing skills
• Proficient in IT and data management
