Position: MACHINE OPERATIVE

Machine Operative – Scunthorpe, DN16

Stafforce are looking for a Machine Operative (other skilled roles are also available), offering immediate starts for our client in Scunthorpe, DN16.

We are recruiting reliable, hardworking Machine Operative to work on the weekends in partnership with TAYTO/Golden Wonder.

Part Time:

Main Purpose of Role:

  • Responsible for operating machines on a production line.
  • Operate all machines/equipment inline with training guidelines, giving particular consideration to health and safety guidelines at all times and wearing the correct PPE for each task.
  • Have a working knowledge and understanding of other machine operator roles and responsibilities as well as an understanding of manufacturing techniques and processes.
  • Monitor and maintain product quality in accordance with training guidelines and customer requirements to include dates, seals and weight checks.
  • Carry out all necessary quality, HACCP, safety and flavour checks, including completing paperwork as required.
  • Optimise machine/equipment set‑up, evaluate and correct faults within job authority, escalating issues to the Engineering Department as required.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties suitable to the level and responsibilities of this role as required.

Skills, Knowledge &

Experience:

  • Manufacturing experience within an FMCG environment.
  • Numerate and literate.
  • Self‑motivated.

Other Key Facts:

  • Work within Company and Legislative Health and Safety requirements.
  • Maintain personal and factory hygiene standards.
  • Assist with any training/retraining as requested.
  • Take part in any ongoing training.
  • Carry out any reasonable task as requested.
  • Be flexible in areas.

Experience, Skills & Behaviours:

  • Must have good knowledge or be willing to learn about packaging, performance and capability.
  • To work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and hygiene standards throughout area of responsibility.
  • Numerate and literate.
