SUMMARY OF

THE ROLE Assist on assigned R&D tasks in line with instructions and set procedures according to given responsibilities, to contribute to reaching the goals and plans of the department.
** Responsibilities:
*** Contribute to products, assets, projects, and tasks by assisting in their completion by carrying out hands on duties according to instruction and set procedures.
* Report results continuously to ensure that relevant stakeholders are informed.
* Ensure that necessary materials are available, and laboratory equipment are operational, to ensure an effective work environment.
* Carry out other duties as assigned.
* Knowledge and use of the necessary HSEQ procedures, safety equipment and safety documentation; and to take into consideration general safety.
* Attend to the daily order so that the workspace is tidy, safe, and pleasant.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER
** Applicants should:*** ## Be comfortable using hand tools such as angle grinders, drills, paddle-mixers.* ## Be familiar with working in a fast-paced environment.* ## Be comfortable with manufacturing, understanding and following formulations and adhering to HSE standards.* ## Have basic skills on CPU, Microsoft Office and data entry.* ## Be willing to work off-site for 20+ days per year.* ## Act on own initiative and take responsibility for own duties.
* ## Be flexible in their approach to work.* ## Have excellent time management and attention to detail.* ## Be structured in their daily tasks with a ‘can do’ attitude.* ## Work well as a member of a team.* ## Be people and task orientated.* ## Have experience of working within the coatings industry is preferred and experience of intumescent products is particularly preferred.
