Overview
2 Sisters Food Group in Scunthorpe has a rare opportunity for external candidates to apply to become KPI Operatives within our intake department. These roles are usually filled by internal applicants, but due to increased demand we are recruiting externally.
The role of KPI Operative is a starting point to work with one of the area’s largest employers, with a track record of recognising, nurturing and developing our workforce.
The Ideal CandidateCandidates MUST be able to read and write in English as it is a requirement of UK law that all Operatives within the Intake department hold a slaughter licence; the assessment for this licence is only available in English.
Experience in food manufacturing is advantageous, but we are really looking for:

Intake Operatives work on a rotating shift pattern, AM & PM:
- AM Shift
:- Monday: 03:15 – 14:15
- Tuesday–Friday: 05:45 – 14:15
- Saturday: 05:45 – 11:45
- PM Shift
:- Monday–Friday: 14:10 – 22:40
The rate of pay is £14.00 per hour
, with supplements for unsociable hours on a Monday day shift, plus enhanced pay for Saturdays.
As a KPI Operative, you will be working within our Primary (Slaughterhouse) Department handling unprepared birds.
- Update hourly count sheet with actual kill figures on teams.
- Attain hourly hang numbers from HMI panels.
- Keep admin tracking data up to date.
- Ensure all pre-start checks are completed (H&S as well as operations).
- Help FLMs complete departmental checks and registers.
- Be part of the weekend maintenance team if required for further development.
- Assist in making sure the entire department is always AUDIT ready.
- Learn the entire process (intake through to EV).
- Stand in as a kill FLM to cover holidays and absences (after completion of training).
- Completion of all kill paperwork (full training given).
