Job Description & How to Apply Below

St George’s and the Church of the Resurrection are part of the Diocese of Lincoln’s Strategic Development Fund Revitalisation Programme
, working as one church across two locations to grow worshipping communities and strengthen mission within an inclusive Anglo‑Catholic tradition.

We are seeking an Adult Connector to help adults across a variety of ages engage with Christian faith, worship, community, and discipleship during this transformative season.

Who We Are

Our two churches serve a combined population of around 20,000 people in the richly diverse areas of Crosby and Berkeley. St George’s sits in one of the 5.5% most deprived parishes in the Church of England and is connected physically to the Crosby One Community Centre
, serving people of many cultures and faiths. The Church of the Resurrection sits at the heart of a large housing estate and is rediscovering its place as a community hub.

We are committed to becoming inclusive, modern Anglo‑Catholic communities
, welcoming all and reflecting the diversity of our parish. We especially encourage applications from UKME/GMH candidates, LGBTQ+ people, those with disabilities, and those returning to work.

About the Role

As part of the new Multi‑Generational Team
, you will work primarily from St George’s Church while also supporting ministry at the Church of the Resurrection
.

Your role will be to help adults aged 18+ connect with church life, overcome barriers, and find belonging in a growing Christian community.

You will:

  • Help the current congregation build confidence in connecting with the local community.
  • Work alongside the Children & Youth Connector to engage parents and guardians.
  • Identify opportunities to support Younger Adults (18–34), Adults (35–55) and Older Adults (56+), including those facing instability, addiction, NEET status, or hardship.
  • Develop faith‑building opportunities such as small groups, Bible studies, and alternative services.
  • Encourage adults to live out their faith in daily life, making Christianity meaningful and relevant.
  • Build partnerships with local groups and community organisations.
  • Offer pastoral support and help coordinate appropriate care pathways.
  • Recruit and develop a volunteer team.
  • Ensure safeguarding policy is embedded across all church activity.
  • Maintain records, coordinate communication, and support the central church calendar.

This role offers the chance to shape a new ministry from the ground up during a significant period of growth.
