Are you a prayerful and collaborative priest who is passionate about rural ministry, community engagement and helping churches flourish together?
The Diocese of Lincoln is seeking an inspiring and pastoral Oversight Minister to lead nine churches across the beautiful North Lincolnshire villages of Winterton, Winteringham, Burton upon Stather, Alkborough, Roxby, Whitton, West Halton, Appleby and Flixborough.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of ministry within the Diocese's vision, A Time to Grow Together
, building strong relationships across churches, communities and schools while developing collaborative and sustainable ministry for the future
Situated between the Humber and the Trent, the parish partnership encompasses the churches of Winterton, Winteringham, Burton upon Stather, Alkborough, Roxby, Whitton, West Halton, Appleby and Flixborough. These churches are rich in heritage, deeply embedded in their local communities and increasingly committed to working together to build a sustainable and flourishing future for mission and ministry.
We are looking for a priest who places prayer at the heart of their life and ministry, someone who can lead with confidence and humility whilst helping the people of God discover and develop their gifts. You will be a gifted pastor, preacher and teacher, comfortable working across a variety of worship traditions and passionate about helping churches engage with their communities in creative and meaningful ways.
Across the parish partnership you will find welcoming congregations, active and supportive PCCs, committed volunteers and churches that continue to play a significant role in village life. There are strong relationships with local schools, opportunities for ecumenical partnership and a genuine desire to reach children, families and those who are not yet connected to church life. Communities are eager to welcome a priest who will become a visible presence amongst them and help them discern God's call for the years ahead
As part of the wider Manlake Local Mission Partnership, you will work alongside a supportive team of clergy and lay leaders who share a commitment to collaborative ministry. The partnership has developed strong patterns of working together, including shared worship, mutual support and collective mission initiatives, providing a strong foundation on which to build.
The Diocese of Lincoln is committed to clergy wellbeing and flourishing. We offer a supportive diocesan culture, access to continuing ministerial development, mentoring and coaching opportunities, wellbeing support, an Employee Assistance Programme, annual retreat provision and a commitment to healthy patterns of ministry. Our vision is grounded in faithful worship, confident discipleship and joyful service, and we are committed to supporting our clergy in living out their vocation with confidence and hope
