Infection Prevention Control Specialist Nurse

Role Overview

We are seeking a Specialist Infection Prevention & Control Nurse to join our team. The Specialist IPC Nurse will support and lead IPC services across our community sites, working collaboratively with senior IPC staff and the Group Deputy Director.

• Provide IPC care, advice, and support to staff, patients, and visitors across the Trust.
• Implement and evaluate IPC standards of practice in line with national guidance.
• Share IPC knowledge and best practice with team members and the wider organisation.
• Act as a role model, demonstrating motivation, enthusiasm, organisation and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain effective communication and partnership working with the Trust and external agencies.

• Registered Nurse with extensive post‑registration experience.
• Specialist interest and experience in infection prevention and control, ideally with recent acute care background.
• Strong communication, partnership working and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Hours:

08:30–16:30 Monday to Friday, with regular on‑call duties including bank holidays. The post is based across all Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Goole and North Lincolnshire Community Hospital Trust sites.
