TEMPORARY TO PERMANENT SALES ORDER PROCESSING JOB - SCUNTHORPE - £28000 - £30000 per annum
We are working with a manufacturing company to find them a Sales Order Processor (Temp to Perm) in Scunthorpe
Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 08:30-16:30
Friday: 08:00-16:00
We are seeking a highly organised and customer focused Sales Order Processor to join our team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This role supports sales, administration, operations and finance functions, ensuring customers receive a seamless service from enquiry through to delivery. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-driven, and confident working across CRM/ERP systems in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Administration & Customer Support
- Assist the sales and administration team with day-to-day duties.
- Provide exceptional customer service via telephone and email.
- Deal with customer pre-sales enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Prepare and send sales quotations to customers.
- Manage miscellaneous customer emails and correspondence.
- Process and revise customer sales orders.
- Convert orders to invoices within the ERP system.
- Prepare Excel reports for carriers and customers.
- Raise customer NCR (Non-Conformance Report) requests and manage them through to resolution.
- Liaise with carriers to obtain proof of delivery or resolve non-delivery issues.
- Handle and resolve invoice queries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM/ERP records.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of data accuracy.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Excellent organisational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- A strong customer service background with confidence in dealing with enquiries.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise workload and work independently with minimal supervision.
- A supportive working environment with opportunities for long-term progression.
- Full-time hours with an early finish on Fridays.
- Potential for permanent employment following a successful temporary period.
