At the earliest opportunity, an exciting position has opened to join the student support team where you will work with students aged 11–16 years with complex learning, sensory, physical, communication, and educational needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to support students who demonstrate high levels of anxiety or behaviours who then find it challenging to engage with learning.
Main responsibilities will be to work within the family and student wellbeing support team. You will support students in overcoming individual barriers to learning by providing opportunities aimed at raising their standards of achievement, social development and self-esteem. You will be involved in services to school-based staff and other external agencies that compliment education and impacts on the life chances of young people.
You will also engage with parents/carers and work closely with other members of the wellbeing support team to improve opportunities and outcomes for the students. The successful applicant may also be trained to support the leadership team with undertaking standardised testing.
