Position SummaryWe are seeking a seasoned and highly motivated Construction Superintendent with a minimum of 10 years’ experience
, specializing in refrigerated and cold storage building construction
. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and solid computer proficiency. This role is responsible for daily onsite supervision, schedule management, quality control, and coordination of subcontractors and field personnel to ensure successful and timely project delivery.
- Lead all phases of onsite construction, including scheduling, safety enforcement, quality assurance, and coordination of trades.
- Manage field operations for refrigerated building projects, including insulated panels, refrigeration systems, and related MEP scopes.
- Ensure compliance with construction drawings, specifications, and building codes.
- Foster clear and consistent communication with project managers, engineers, architects, inspectors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Maintain and enforce safety standards and conduct daily safety meetings and reports.
- Proactively resolve field issues and design conflicts to avoid delays and cost overruns.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and manage material deliveries to maintain project schedules.
- Utilize technology and construction management software for reporting, scheduling, and documentation.
- Minimum 10 years of superintendent experience in commercial/industrial construction, with expertise in cold storage/refrigerated facilities.
- Strong knowledge of insulated panel construction, refrigeration systems, and relevant building techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead teams and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient computer skills, including use of email, spreadsheets, project management tools (such as Procore, Buildertrend, or similar), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Willingness to travel to job sites and work extended or irregular hours as necessary.
- Self-driven and highly organized, with attention to detail and problem-solving acumen.
- Effective leader and team builder with a commitment to quality and on-time delivery.
- Professional, dependable, and responsive under pressure.
