The Cardiology Diagnostic Services Supervisor is responsible for the operational oversight and coordination of non‑invasive cardiology services. This role manages procedure scheduling, clinical staffing, and supply inventory to ensure seamless service delivery and adequate clinical coverage. The Supervisor maintains and updates WFM, oversees EPIC work queues, and addresses scheduling issues such as denials, cancellations, and add‑ons. They serve as the lead contact for all non‑invasive cardiology testing matters, including IT and biomedical engineering concerns.
This position is considered that of a working supervisor, who will also perform the clinical tasks, roles and responsibilities as a Cardiology procedural nurse. Additionally, the role supports the implementation of new technologies, such as GE echo machines and associated image storage systems, and leads the IAC accreditation process in collaboration with echo sonographers, ensuring all documentation and continuing education requirements are met.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
- Certification/Licensure:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice in state of residency.
- ACLS certification and BLS certification required.
- Experience:
- At least five (5) years as a staff nurse in acute care setting, focus in cardiovascular disease.
- Experience with Microsoft applications.
- Primarily day shift, Monday through Friday
