Maintenance Mechanic 1st and 2nd Shift

Position Summary

A Maintenance Mechanic is required to keep the feed mill’s equipment operating safely and efficiently. The role involves repairing mechanical malfunctions, troubleshooting problems, lubricating and maintaining equipment, and responding to breakdowns and emergency situations.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in feed mill maintenance or a related maintenance field.
• Knowledge of feed manufacturing equipment operation, maintenance, and welding.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds routinely without assistance, climb ladders, and operate a pallet jack handling up to 2,000 pounds of material.

• Repair mechanical malfunctions at the feed mill.
• Detect potential electrical or mechanical problems.
• Verify that equipment is functioning properly.
• Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems.
• Lubricate equipment according to schedule.
• Perform preventive maintenance as posted.
• Respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations.
• Complete any other duties assigned.
