We are accepting applications for Emergency Supply Secondary Teachers at AMDSB Secondary Schools.

• Obtain AMDSB classroom teaching experience with students in grades 9 through 12, while awaiting OCT certification;

• Variety of work, our Secondary Emergency Supply Teachers have the opportunity to work at a variety of schools across Perth and Huron Counties.

The AMDSB is currently seeking Secondary (Grades 9-12) Emergency Teacher Candidates to fill in for the daily absences of classroom teachers. Emergency Teacher Candidates are notified on the day of the vacancy.

• Teacher Candidates in Year 1-4 of a Concurrent Education Program and/or teachers in receipt of TPP pension;
• As we are an English board, oral and written English proficiency is required;
• Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (dated within six months);
• Emergency Teachers must be available for half or single day occasional teacher coverage on last minute notice;
• Proven ability to maintain discipline in the classroom (classroom management);
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment;
• Experience working with G‑Suite (Gmail, Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) products.
