Avon Maitland District School Board is inviting applications for a temporary position as a Designated Early Childhood Educator for the 2026/2027 school year. In this role, you will work under the direction of the Principal and in conjunction with classroom teachers. Your focus will be on creating effective educational environments that support the holistic development of Kindergarten students. Classroom management and parent communication are key elements of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with classroom teacher for effective lesson planning

• Support daily activities in a full-day Kindergarten program

• Manage classroom behavior effectively and sensitively

• Communicate with children, parents, and staff courteously

• Create engaging and inclusive learning experiences

Requirements:

• Completed two-year ECE diploma

• Valid registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators

• Experience in an Early Learning Centre or daycare

• Knowledge of Kindergarten educational legislation

• Strong organizational and communication skills
