HGV Class 1 Driver – Seaham Depot

Shift Available:
Wednesday - Sunday, working days. Rate of pay: £15.61 per hour. Any hours worked over 39 hours each week will be paid at time and a half.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure the vehicle is legal and roadworthy at all times – all daily checks are completed, and any vehicle defects are reported.
• Ensure the correct goods have been loaded and are secure before moving the vehicle.
• Carry out trunking and multi-drop deliveries in a timely manner and in accordance with the law (including drivers working time regulations).
• Double check deliveries with the customer whilst providing a polite and helpful experience.
• Obtain relevant signatures and paperwork before returning to your home depot.

What we’re looking for:

• Someone with a C+E driving licence, a valid in date Digi Tacho and CPC.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Ability to lift up to 18kg.
• Clear communication with other team members in English.
