General Maintenance Welder - 1st Shift

PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. is seeking a skilled and safety-focused General Maintenance
Welder to support industrial and manufacturing operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional who takes pride in high-quality welds, precise fabrication, and keeping equipment running at peak performance.

• 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM ( OT on Saturdays )

• Pay: $16-$18 per hour, based on experience (weekly pay)

• Overtime: Frequent and available

As a General Maintenance Welder, you'll play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and fabricating equipment and facility components to ensure safe and efficient operations.

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance using welding and fabrication techniques

• Execute MIG, TIG, and stick welding to repair metal components and structures

• Fabricate parts, frames, brackets, and assemblies using cutting, grinding, and bending equipment

• Diagnose equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement timely repair solutions

• Support preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment for wear or potential failure

• Follow all safety procedures, welding standards, and PPE requirements

• Document maintenance activities, work orders, and repair logs accurately

• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to minimize downtime

• High school diploma or GED (vocational training or welding certification preferred)

• Experience as a welder or maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment

• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding, plus metal fabrication

• Working knowledge of welding tools, cutting equipment, and gas systems

• Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance

• Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently (75 lbs. with assistance)

• Stand and walk for 8-12 hour shifts

• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and working in confined spaces

• Comfortable climbing ladders and accessing elevated platforms

• Work in environments with noise, heat, dust, fumes, and vibration

• Required PPE must be worn at all times

• Ability to maintain focus and stamina throughout the shift

$17.00 to $18.00 per hour
