General Service Technician - Tire Technician

Plaza Tire Service is hiring immediately for the position of General Service/Tire Technician across 75 locations in Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, and Northern Arkansas. No prior experience is required; we provide on‑the‑job training and competitive hourly pay ranging from $14.00 to $16.00.

• Perform tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance, and tire rotation.
• Perform oil changes and other basic services.
• Use the company’s multi‑point inspection and/or repair order to document vehicle condition.
• Maintain shop cleanliness, including the service area, tire racks, showroom, and exterior.
• Drive vehicles safely and courteously, following all traffic laws.
• Transport customers, pick up parts, supplies, tires, etc. using the company vehicle.
• Conduct state safety and emission inspections where applicable, following all company and state guidelines.
• Follow all safety procedures and report concerns to the direct supervisor.
• Work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed.
• Adhere to Sun Auto’s core values and all company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.

• General understanding of under‑hood mechanical and under‑carriage assemblies is preferred.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• be at least 18 years old.

The General Service/Tire Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non‑hazardous materials. The work environment temperature varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold. Use of safety goggles or other PPE may be required.

Physical requirements include standing up to eight hours per day in the shop; walking to various areas of the building; bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching regularly; lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds frequently; communicating with customers and shop personnel; and sufficient vision to detect color, depth, and focus.
