-Beebe is seeking an adjunct Instructor of Health Information Technology. ASU
-Beebe, a two‑year residential community college part of the Arkansas State University System, seeks to assemble a pool of qualified candidates interested in future part‑time teaching opportunities in Health Information Technology. The successful candidate will possess advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, disease processes, surgical procedures, medical office procedures, and the Microsoft Office Suite. Candidate will provide consistent, quality teaching.

Courses may be taught on any ASU Beebe campus, with night and Saturday classes possible, and include face‑to‑face, Zoom, Internet‑assisted and online instruction. Instructors may be asked to teach up to 9 credit hours per semester.

• Teach Health Information Technology courses according to the academic calendar.

• Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments.

• Utilize technology platforms for distance and online instruction.

• Mentor and support students, fostering their academic success.

• Associate’s (or higher) degree in a related field.
• At least two (2) years of related, non‑teaching work experience.
• Ability to inspire, motivate, and empower students to succeed.
• Strong computer and technology skills.

• Previous teaching experience.
• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, and/or CCSP credentials.
• Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).

Minimum Salary of $650 per credit hour.

Stand regularly; walk regularly; sit frequently; use hands to finger, handle, or feel frequently; reach with hands and arms frequently; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl occasionally. Physical exertion: lift up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 25 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds, up to 100 pounds, and occasionally more than 100 pounds.
