This individual is responsible for patient preparation, assisting the physician with procedures and minor surgeries, performing various diagnostic tests and patient education, maintaining equipment, and acting as a liaison between the physician and all outside agencies (hospitals, nursing homes, DME companies, pharmacies, HMO’s, and other physician’s offices). The role also supports other medical staff to maintain patient flow.

Days: 8‑5 AM. 40 hours per week.

• Education:
  
  Certified or registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an accredited institution required.
• Training and
  
  Experience:
  
  Minimum 2 years of medical office experience in a clinical setting; lab, EKG, and X‑ray experience preferred.
• Job Knowledge:
  Understands team‑based care, aware of limitations and responsibilities, skilled at effective communication with patients or their delegates.
