Patient Driver at Providence Seaside Hospital

ResponsibilitiesPOSITION
PURPOSE:
Provide transportation, companionship, and assistance to program-eligible clients. This includes transportation within Clatsop County, as well as driving clients to Portland or Longview medical appointments as necessary. Back up the Volunteer Coordinator in the Volunteer Services office as needed.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
Providence Seaside Hospital provides and coordinates the Partners for Seniors program. The program provides support for community members who may have personal limitations, so that they can maintain their independence. The Volunteer Coordinator takes client information and assigns a driver to the ride or task. The Driver will transport clients or perform companionship or assistance tasks as assigned, in such a way that the client feels dignified and cared for.
Having a passion for serving the elderly and the needy is a major plus.

QualificationsRequired qualifications:
- Upon request:
Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. - 5 years Driving experience.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience transporting clients.
