Position Overview

This is a direct hire, full-time, on-site position based in Atlanta, GA remotely managing the IT Operations Team in Seattle, WA and Toronto, CAN
.

As an IT Operations Manager
, successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company’s daily technology operations, ensuring systems, networks, hardware, software, and cloud services run efficiently and securely. This role manages IT staff, supports end users, coordinates with vendors, and ensures the reliability, security, and performance of all IT infrastructure and services. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and capable of leading technical initiatives that support overall business goals.

Job Description
  • Manage and monitor daily IT operations, including servers, networks, hardware, software, and cloud systems.
  • Ensure consistent system availability, performance, and reliability across all technology platforms.
  • Oversee maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting activities for all IT infrastructure.
  • Manage IT support staff, assign priorities, track progress, and resolve escalated technical issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and end users.
  • Maintain and update IT policies, procedures, documentation, and asset inventories.
  • Ensure security of systems through patching, firewall management, backups, and access controls.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address issues to minimize downtime.
  • Lead and support IT projects including upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, consultants, and service providers as needed.
  • Review and manage vendor contracts, service agreements, and technology purchases.
  • Prepare reports on system performance, ticket resolutions, and infrastructure health.
  • Recommend process improvements and technology enhancements to support business goals.
  • Support annual IT budget planning and assist with cost management for IT operations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant security standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, networks, cloud platforms, and infrastructure management.
  • Experience managing daily IT operations in a corporate environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide hands‑on support when needed.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor IT staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Customer service–oriented approach when supporting end users.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity practices including firewalls, backups, patching, and access controls.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors and managing IT‑related contracts.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, IT service management tools, and basic scripting or automation (preferred).
  • Willingness to stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
