• Play a key role in the month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Own GL maintenance, account reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
• Partner with Finance and other departments to ensure financial tell the full story by addressing and resolving accounting‑related inquiries.
• Supervise a team of accountants – coach, support, and develop their growth.
• Analyze expense accounts, proactively identifying trends, discrepancies, and areas for cost optimization.
• Identify ways to automate, optimize, and improve financial operations.
• Coordinate with auditors and internal staff during financial statement and overhead audits.
• Support acquisition due diligence, data consolidation and integration activities, as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance (CPA preferred).
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience within medium to large corporate environments.
• At least 2 years of leadership and people management experience.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and sound internal controls.
• Tech‑savvy – strong with Excel, ERP systems, BI analytics, workflow automation.
• Prior experience in the A/E/C industry highly preferred (double bonus if you have FAR/CAS accounting experience)
