Staff Accountant

Overview

LHH has partnered with a Seattle-based organization in the search for a Staff Accountant. Our client seeks a detail-oriented and proactive professional with 2+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to adapt to new systems and processes.

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and site allocations
• Review billing, labor, and accounts payable data in the general ledger
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations
• Assist with P&L reviews, financial statement preparation, and audit prep
• Support payroll entry for union employees on a weekly basis
• Collaborate with other departments on accounting-related projects
• Identify and implement process improvements, including documentation updates
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of full cycle accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP knowledge preferred)
• Excel expertise
• Proactive mindset with initiative to ask questions and seek improvements
• Compensation: $35.00–$38.00 per hour (salaried non-exempt, overtime eligible)
