Hansell Tierney is helping our client find a detail-oriented Accountant to provide temporary support to their internal accounting team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and audit support, along with a proactive, independent working style and strong attention to detail.
Duration: 5-6 Month Contract
Compensation: $34.00 - $44.00/hr.

This role offers a great opportunity to contribute to key accounting processes, gain exposure to enterprise-level systems, and work within a collaborative finance team during a major reporting cycle.
Responsibilities- Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations as part of monthly and quarterly closing activities.
- Analyze financial results and communicate findings to internal stakeholders.
- Support internal, external, and compliance audit requests by preparing accurate documentation and schedules.
- Identify and help implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare and present clear, well-documented working papers to accounting leadership.
- Participate in special projects, developmental opportunities, and ad-hoc accounting tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3-5+ years of accounting experience with progressively increasing responsibility.
- Strong understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, and general accounting principles (GAAP).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other standard accounting tools.
- CPA license or CPA eligibility preferred but not required.
