Overview
The administrative assistant to the safety team will be participating in the organization and efficiency of day to day team operations and department projects.
Responsibilities- Assist with program research and To include but not limited to training, awareness, and preparations for conferences.
- Manage and populate lists and tables, trending data as needed.
- Data entry as required.
- Assist with audits, safety systems, environmental program, policies and procedures.
- Assist with tracking progress and completion of corrective actions regarding incidents, accident, and observations.
- Document preparation including but not limited to writing up articles and applications.
- Assist compiling presentations.
- File electronically and physically as needed.
- Scheduling meetings and sending meeting invites to attendees.
- Complete various administrative tasks assigned by multiple departments within the company.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite and operating standard office equipment including computers and copy machines.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work with others using courtesy, tact, and good judgment.
- Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and communications.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Standard office environment.
- May be required to support occasional outdoor events.
- Must be physically fit and able to perform normal office tasks such as carrying and putting away office supplies and groceries. Able to push a supply cart and lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to run errands.
Normal office hours are 8:00 m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
