Experienced Service Technician
Join Swickard Auto Group as an Experienced Service Technician. We value hospitality, innovation, and growth.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions using diagnostic scanners, multimeters, pressure gauges, and service manuals.
- Conduct thorough inspections of engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, and other systems.
- Prepare repair plans, obtain customer authorization, perform repairs, and test functionality.
- Document all repairs and parts on service orders.
- Provide customer service: explain technical issues, offer estimates, update progress, and address concerns.
- Use diagnostic tools and repair equipment; stay current with new technologies and repair procedures.
- Maintain clean, organized work area and adhere to safety protocols.
- Perform test drives, research technical information, recommend preventive maintenance, and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2–3 years of experience as a Service Technician or related automotive repair.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
- Excellent problem‑solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Manual dexterity and ability to lift, bend, reach.
- Strong teamwork and adaptability to fast‑paced environment.
- Preferred: ASE certification and/or Mercedes‑Benz OEM certification.
