Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. is a leading middle-market investment bank and full service broker-dealer with roots dating back to 1881. The Private Client Division is seeking a Client Service Associate for the Seattle, WA branch to support Financial Professionals in day-to-day operations of a growing wealth management practice. The CSA should have strong interpersonal and multi-tasking skills and be able to work independently as well as in a small team, performing a variety of tasks to help the team grow the business, run smoothly, and meet service excellence standards.
Responsibilities- Learn and adapt to service the needs of various accounts to answer day-to-day questions from clients and professionals
- Develop knowledge of forms and account procedures to assist clients
- Utilize research and technical support tools
- Act with integrity and respect in all situations
- Cultivate and grow existing client relationships
- Assist with marketing efforts
- Prioritize daily work, track progress of projects and deadlines, answer phones, take messages and schedule appointments
- Prepare and process paperwork to open and service accounts
- Interact locally with other support members, Financial Professionals and Management
- Superior interpersonal and multi-tasking skills with meticulous attention to detail
- 1-2 years’ experience as a sales assistant/CSA in financial services preferred
- Basic understanding of financial instruments and brokerage/insurance products
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); ability to learn Docu Sign and internal software
- Team player with energetic, positive disposition seeking growth
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Strong accuracy, thoroughness, and organizational skills
- Professional, timely, and friendly communication with all levels of employees, management and clients
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines; work effectively under time constraints
- Capability to handle multiple tasks to completion with minimal supervision
The current base salary range for this role in Washington is $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year, with potential eligibility for discretionary bonus. Certain positions may include additional forms of compensation.
