Management Analyst 5 | Health Services Informatics - Full Time Project in Tumwater, WA. Salary: $92,880 - $124,908 annually. Project duration up to 3 years. Teamsters 117 bargaining unit.
Position OverviewLead analyst role in Health Services Informatics Research and Data Analytics team. Provide department‑wide development, design, implementation, and sustainability of health services reporting for 1115 Medicaid Waiver. Respond to ad‑hoc requests, gather requirements, and develop reports using SQL, SSRS, Power
BI.
- Design, develop, and implement data analyses and reports addressing complex business and policy issues.
- Consult with managers, clinical staff, and stakeholders to evaluate data integrity and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with Health Service Informatics Manager to analyze trends, present findings, and provide recommendations to executive staff.
- Maintain and train on standard processes for health services reporting requests.
- Support problem‑solving and process improvement initiatives within Health Services.
- Assist in creating and maintaining data definitions, business rules, and documentation.
- Respond to mandatory health services requests promptly and accurately.
- Attend meetings, prepare talking points, and support executive briefings.
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, health care, sociology, criminal justice, social work, analytics, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience managing complex datasets and responding to research or policy inquiries.
- 5+ years of SQL or equivalent experience, including complex joins, stored procedures, tables and views.
- 3+ years of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
- 2+ years of Power
BI and/or Tableau. - Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to summarize complex information.
- Experience with SSIS/ETL for database maintenance.
- SQL Server database design, programming, and maintenance.
- Team Foundation Server and Visual Studio experience.
- Lead worker experience and health informatics background.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and national coding standards.
