Job OverviewAs the Business Development Manager for Agencies, you will build and grow revenue through agency partners who resell Gumshoe’s AI Visibility services. This role sits at the intersection of partnerships, sales, customer success, and go-to-market strategy. You will own the full lifecycle of agency partners including recruitment, onboarding, enablement, co‑selling, and ongoing success with the goal of driving measurable pipeline and revenue through the channel.
WhatYou’ll Do Partner Recruitment & Activation
- Identify and recruit marketing, SEO, SEM, PR, and digital agencies that would benefit from reselling Gumshoe.
- Build value propositions and pitch materials tailored to agency business models (retainers, project fees, managed services).
- Coordinate with the Customer Success team to run partner onboarding: technical setup, product training, and initial client‑identification workshops.
- Equip agencies with the tools they need to sell Gumshoe: battle cards, playbooks, pricing guidance, case examples, proposal templates, and demo scripts.
- Teach partners how to package Gumshoe’s output into billable services (AI Visibility audits, optimizations, reporting).
- Train agency teams on how Gumshoe integrates into their workflows (SEO, content strategy, ORM, PR, analytics).
- Drive revenue through co‑selling, opportunity mapping, and deal support with partner accounts.
- Build repeatable partner motions for pipeline generation and expansion.
- Track partner performance: sourced pipeline, closed revenue, active clients, renewal rates.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for partner agencies.
- Hold regular partner QBRs, training sessions, and strategic growth conversations.
- Maintain deep understanding of partner service offerings, use cases, and ideal client profiles.
- Work with Sales on co‑selling strategies and predictable channel forecasting.
- Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure partner‑led clients are successful and have high NRR.
- Provide feedback to Product and Marketing on partner needs, messaging, and enablement gaps.
- 5–10 years experience in agency partnerships, SEO/SEM, performance marketing, digital strategy, or channel sales.
- Direct exposure to agencies – ideally having sold to or managed agency relationships.
- Experience with a SaaS, data, analytics, ad‑tech or marketing technology product preferred.
- Strong understanding of how agencies package, price, and deliver services.
- Ability to teach, coach, and influence partner teams to adopt a new product category.
- Sales acumen; comfortable leading discovery, demos, and co‑selling.
- Customer success mindset; able to drive adoption, deliver value, and ensure renewals.
- Excellent communication skills; able to simplify technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
- Builder mentality; comfortable with ambiguity, scrappy processes, and creating structure.
- A ramped portfolio of 25–50 active agency partners.
- A predictable cadence of partner‑sourced pipeline, with growing closed/won contribution.
- Agencies running Gumshoe‑backed services as part of their recurring revenue model.
- Consistent partner enablement (training, updates, materials) driving stronger adoption.
- Clear playbooks and repeatable channel processes established for scale.
This role includes a base salary and variable compensation, for an OTE range of $160,000‑$200,000, exclusive of fringe benefits. The final base salary will be determined based on skills, education, and experience. Gumshoe aims for pay equity and considers internal equity among current team members as part of any final offer.
