Commercial Construction Senior Superintendent - Mission Critical

Join HITT Contracting Inc. as a Commercial Construction Senior Superintendent, leading on-site project execution to meet schedules, safety, and quality standards.

Salary

Base Salary Range: $ - $ (Washington State). Compensation may vary by location and includes performance-based bonuses, health care, 401(k) match, wellness reimbursement, paid holidays, and additional voluntary benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Administer the HITT safety program, ensuring all accidents/incidents are reported and investigated; assist with external safety inspections.
  • Maintain HITT quality standards for all project aspects.
  • Lead on-site safety, managing a safe jobsite for all involved.
  • Maintain a daily log of activities and site conditions, managing the punch list and closeout process through owner/architect acceptance.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to formulate schedules, verify proper methods and sequences, commit to schedule milestones, and uphold quality standards.
  • Build positive relationships with all subcontractors, fostering community connections and fair treatment.
  • Provide accurate daily documentation of work orders/tickets, understanding subcontractor scope to avoid change orders, and identify problems early to offer solutions.
  • Organize and staff the site team, arrange temporary facilities/utilities, and expedite long‑lead items.
  • Collaborate continuously with the project manager and site operations team throughout the project life cycle.
Qualifications
  • A four‑year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred; extensive experience can substitute.
  • 8–10 years of commercial construction experience, including work with a commercial general contractor.
  • Experience with tenant renovations, service work, occupied spaces, weekend work, and fast‑paced projects is a plus.
  • Mastery of building processes and best practices.
  • Ability to organize people, tools, and time to meet tight deadlines.
  • Previous superintendent or project lead experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with project management software (Microsoft Office Suite, Pro Core, Adobe, Blue Beam, etc.).
  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
  • Physical ability to walk/stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
