Overview Of The CompanyFox TV Stations owns and operates 29 full‑power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest DMAs, duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles, Chicago). 18 are affiliated with FOX Network. They produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news weekly across the stations.
Job DescriptionThe Associate Producer will assist newscasts in many ways including day‑to‑day pre‑production tasks such as story pitches and development, research and script writing, assisting in the control room, and post‑production tasks including social video editing and graphics production. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following duties.
Duties/Responsibilities- Writes stories for broadcast, web and social media as assigned.
- Creates graphics and other pre‑production elements.
- Views video and selects sound.
- Acts as liaison to reporters in the field by providing research and material as requested.
- Fills in for producers as assigned.
- Stays informed of current news, actively gathering information online and in partnership with the assignment desk.
- Reports to work to assist with newscasts outside the normal work schedule during severe weather or breaking news.
- Meets all scheduling and content deadlines.
- Attends and participates in all scheduled meetings.
- Demonstrates responsibility for all equipment issued by FOX.
- Complies with all FOX corporate computer requirements.
- Complies with all FOX corporate and station policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills And Abilities
- Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under daily pressure and successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Two (2) years of experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Radio/TV, or related discipline preferred.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
- Regularly stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Vision includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $28.00–$32.84 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for union‑represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
